Maria leaning on a diaper box
Well we've been busy... Friday morning I took Ri to the doctor, since her eye was getting really goopy again. It turns out she has a cold and a viral infection. So Dr. Tan gave her a prescription for some antibiotic eye drops to hopefully clear it up. Maria is not too fond of the eye drops. She can sure squeeze those big brown eyes pretty tight! She doesn't seem to be acting sick, still her same busy self! So that's good...Wearing one of Uncle Bob's hats
On Saturday we went to Mike's cousin Laurie's surprise 50th birthday party. We had a great time. Maria was great the whole evening. She played and visited with family and of course did not want to go to bed! I got her all ready for bed, put her jammies on, gave her her bedtime sippy, and started rocking her in her stroller. Well she wanted nothing to do with sleeping! She got up and we went and danced a bit since the DJ was still playing music. Maria loves to dance now! I was shocked that she wouldn't even sleep in the car on the way home. She kept her big brown eyes open! When we got home about 1045 she was wide awake and still trying to play. Luckily I only had to go in once and lay her back down in her crib. She just feels the need to stand in her crib all the time! Finally at about 11 she went to sleep! Hut, Hut, Hike!
On Sunday, Maria decided she was going to try a whole bunch of stuff! She's doing great with the crawling, and loving standing on stuff, so her next order of business is- pushing stuff around. She pulled her self up on the diaper box and decided to push it around. While at Maria's Nana's house she decided that she was going to climb up the little doggy stairs in the living room! Come on Maria give Mommy a break! She must have climbed up those steps almost 10 times! Also Ri finally started clapping! I guess she just figured it out amidst all the crawling and climbing! She really is going to be a handful when she starts walking.
