Maria's First Hair Cut!

Well it's been a busy few days. On Friday we took Maria to Daddy's barber shop to get her little baby mullet trimmed. It was starting to look crazy in the back. So Natalie, the lady who owns the shop, trimmed it off for us. I held Maria while Natalie trimmed it. I know it wasn't a full blown hair cut, but it was still a hair cut. So I kept the long chunk of mullet and put it in Maria's little "first lock" box. She was really good while we were at the shop. We took some cute pictures of her sitting in the barber chair, and of her opening the special box that Nana got for her to put her hair in. Maria loves opening presents so of course she had it wrapped for her.

On Saturday we had a cookout to go to. We had a nice time. Maria was great. She loved being outside. We got to visit with family and have plenty of food, and of course dessert! Maria took a nice nap in her stroller, and then was up for the rest of the party. We left around 9:30 and at 10 when we got home, Maria was still awake talking in her car seat. She did finally pass out when we got home and I put her in her crib.
Of course we assumed that since Maria went to bed late on Saturday night she'd sleep in a little on Sunday morning... um wrong. She was still up at 6:20! Oh well at least we weren't running late for church. It does help when she gets up, she doesn't have a snooze button!
After lunch Maria actually took a 3.5 hour nap! I think she was trying to catch up on sleep! She seems to be back on schedule now. She was in bed tonight a little after 8, and right now is happily snoozing in her crib.
Tomorrow we need to run to Target for formula, and of course take our morning walk, and trip to play on the swings.
